JOIN BELCORP'S HACKATHON 5.0 AND LET'S PERSONALIZE THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY

At this virtual event, you will have 24 hours to create an advanced technological solution that offers highly personalized beauty advice and recommendations. You will use tools that easily integrate into the daily routines of beauty consultants, improving their interactions and their ability to meet the specific needs of each client. In addition, you will learn from world-class mentors and have the opportunity to interact with renowned professionals and leading technology companies.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?


You can participate individually or in a group (up to 5 people) from anywhere in the world. The team must have multiple skills to develop a comprehensive solution, preferably having profiles such as Data Specialist, Domain Expert, Software Specialist, UX/UI Specialist. Also, you need to be 18 or older, have creativity, eagerness, and a positive attitude.

PROCESS


  • Registration

    September 16 - October 11

    All participants may register themselves and/or their teams during these 4 weeks at hackathon.belcorp.biz. All registrations (individuals and grupal) will be evaluated, and we’ll confirm your participation on the event. 

  • Confirmation of participation

    October 14 – October 16

    Selected participants (individual and grupal) will receive an email confirmation that have approved the evaluation and will be able to join the Belcorp Hackathon.

  • Pre-Hackathon 

    October 17 

    The organizing team will present general information about the event: Presentation of sponsors, challenge introduction, tools and a practical demo of the starter kit which will be shared as a prerecorded content.

  • Main Event

    October 18 & 19

    During the main event days, the finalist teams will work on their solution and make their presentation to the jury, who will evaluate the presentations and choose the winners of the Belcorp Hackathon 5.0. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place of the competition will be awarded.

You’ll need a good internet connection, a positive attitude, energy, to be well-rested, and whatever you consider is necessary to code and propose a winning solution.

October 11 is the last day of registration.

You must register individually at hackathon.belcorp.biz. after that, we will select the participating teams based on the profiles received. If you want to participate in a group, each member must state the name of the team during registration.

There is a minimum of 3 members, and a maximum of 5 people.

The Belcorp Hackathon 5.0 is a software development competition that requires a medium to high level of programming knowledge, data analysis, design of innovative digital experiences, etc.

No, in this edition of the Belcorp Hackathon, only people who are not linked to Belcorp will be able to participate, as they could have a certain advantage in the competition otherwise.

No, this competition is global. You can sign up from anywhere in the world.

We will send you an e-mail where we will notify the selected individuals and/or teams.

If your team was not selected, you still have the option to participate in case another team withdraws their participation or fails to confirm it. If this is the case for your team, we will notify you in advance.

No, only members of teams accepted in the Belcorp Hackathon 4.0 will be able to participate in the competition. For more information, we recommend you review the Terms and Conditions.

Of course, you can participate! The challenge will be available to participating teams in both English and Spanish. However, the final presentations must be made in English, so at least one person on the team should speak the language.

About the event

Yes, at least one person from each team must participate in the pre-hackathon.

The jury in the first and second phases will be made up of Belcorp experts from business and technology. For the final phase, the jury will be made up of Belcorp Executive Committee members.

No, the registration to the Belcorp Hackathon 5.0 is completely free.

Each participant will receive a Starter Kit with resources released for the competition, such as APIS, dummy datasets and infrastructure resources. We will also have mentors who will provide help with any questions and coaching sessions. Additionally, there will be spaces where you will be able to share your doubts and request help.

The challenge will be evaluated based on the objectives set for it. Don’t worry about it; at the beginning of the main event, we will remind you of the items that will be evaluated in the challenge.

The Belcorp Hackathon 5.0 will be 100% digital, through hackathon.belcorp.biz

If the day of the competition arrived and someone from your team did not show up, you will be able to continue participating with the incomplete team.

Yes, it is only necessary to notify the organizing team.

You must work with a stable internet connection, as there are deadlines for sending deliverables.

Belcorp, as the organizing company, will have ownership of all the intellectual property rights and copyright on any material produced during the event.

Award


Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. Each winning team will be able to decide how to distribute the prize among its members.
